Bardiya National Park is the largest national park in the Terai region of Nepal which is a beautiful, unspoiled wilderness of saal forest, grassland, and alluvial washes cut by the many fingers of the Karnali River.”

Bardiya National Park was established in 1988 AD, it was first established in 1969 AD as a Royal Hunting Reserve. It was again announced as the Karnali wildlife reserve with an area of 368 sq. km in 1982. It was renamed Bardia National Park and it was extended to cover the Babai Valley to 968 sq. km. in 1988 AD. About 70% of the park is covered with forest, with the balance and mixture of grassland. The national park is widely popular as a peace national park in Nepal as well as a heaven for a wide variety of wildlife.

The Bardiya National Park is the home to at least 53 mammals like Wild Elephant, Swamp Deer, freshwater Dolphin including endangering animal-like One-Horned Rhino, Bengal Tiger, etc. and also offer more than 250 species of birds. Gharial and marsh mugger crocodiles, crocodile breeding center, and Gangetic dolphins are occasionally spotted on rafting and canoeing trips along the Geruwa River, the eastern channel of the Karnali River. According to the park, flora comprises 839 species and excellent habitat for 642 faunal species.

Day 03: Fly to Nepalgunj and Transfer to Bardiya National Park.

Day 06: Transfer to Nepaljung and Fly back to Kathmandu.

The day includes a full day of sightseeing around the most interesting places around Kathmandu valley as well as their sister cities, Bhaktapur and Patan. The places include:
PASHUPATINATH: The Hindu Temple is situated on the bank of the Bagmati River which is located 5KM northeast of central Kathmandu. It is a World Heritage Site listed by UNESCO.
BOUDHNATH: One of the biggest Buddhist stupa on earth surrounded by Prayers wheels, Prayers Wheels, and numerous gompas. It is located 11 KM far from central Kathmandu. It is also a World Heritage Site listed by UNESCO.
SWYAMBHUNATH: It is also known as Monkey Temple because there are large numbers of monkey that has made their home. The famous Buddhist temple is set on a hilltop overlooking Kathmandu. The place offers a majestic view of the whole Kathmandu valley.
PATAN: It is located 5 KM southeast of central Kathmandu. The major attractions of Patan are Patan Durbar Square, Mahabouddha Temple, Khumbeshwor Temple, Krishna Temple, and Golden Temple.
CHANGU NARAYAN: The temple of Changu Narayan is located at Top Hill of Bhaktapur District. The temple contains ancient religious values which are made thousands of years ago.

 


Nepal Dream Path Treks staff will come to your hotel for pick up. After breakfast transfer to Tribhuwan International Airport and fly to Nepaljung. After reaching the Nepaljung You will then be transferred to Bardiya National Park where you will be offered a refreshment program and be given a briefing about Bardiya national park.
Village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village where you will learn more about the life and lifestyle of the Tharus.


Wake up call followed by tea/coffee, take breakfast, and be ready for elephant ride for an hour which is an excellent opportunity to get the lifetime experience on the elephant back and to see the wildlife of the Park. Visit visitor Center, Crocodile Breeding Center, and Tharu Cultural Museum. After taking lunch enjoy Jungle Walk. It is an excellent opportunity to see the wild animals, small mammals, birds, and waits in the tower (we can say Machan in Nepali) to have the wild sightseeing, accompanied by our experienced naturalists and wildlife tracker. Excellent photographic opportunities are plentiful. Back to hotel, take dinner and overnight stay at Hotel.


Wake up call followed by tea/coffee, take breakfast, and go for Tiger Tracking and Bird Watching. An excellent opportunity to see a Royal Bengal tiger and a great many species of birds found in Bardia. After lunch
transfer for Jeep Drive. It is an excellent time to see wild animals and you will also encounter many other smaller mammals that have made Bardia their home. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel.


Early morning wake up, take breakfast and Visit Karnali River, and back to Hotel. After lunch transfer to Nepaljung and fly back to Kathmandu.
