Manaslu treks is a classic, adventurous & undoubtedly one of the best treks around the west-central part of Nepal. Mt. Manaslu is the 7th highest mountain of Nepal and also 8th highest of the World with an altitude of 8163m. The Sanskrit word ‘Manaslu’ means ‘in of spirit’ and this spirit reflects into the peaceful villages and valleys around it. The first foot on the top of this mountain is printed by the Japanese expedition group in 1956. This trek is a perfect alternative to Annapurna Trek and Ganesh Himal Trek.
Manaslu area was a restricted area until the Nepal Government permitted tourists. The trek route follows the ancient salt-trading route. Beautiful off the beaten trails takes us through blooming forests, delightful meadows, rocky high cliffs & giant Georges of Budhi-Gandaki River. Manaslu is a famous sanctuary of endangered wild animals like Himalayan Tahr, Blue Sheep, and snow leopards. Glacial saddle Larkey La Pass (5,106m) is the highest point of this trek lies on the north side of Manaslu. This trek introduces you to the cultural, traditional & natural facets along with the lifestyle of different ethnic groups of the Manaslu region. Unlike other trekking areas, this trekking region is often less crowded. Manaslu is flanked beautifully by Annapurna to the west and by Ganesh Himal to the east. Also, the stupendous wall created by mountains like Himchuli, Cheo Himal, Nemjung, and Gyang Kyang along with other numerous mountains are heart-melting.
