Mount Everest is the tallest and the most famous mountain in the world. Many adventure lovers from all around the world come to Nepal for Everest Trek. Every year more than 500 people reach the summit of Everest. In 1953 it was first conquered by Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Sir Edmund Hilary.

Height of Mt. Everest
The height of Mount Everest is 8,848 m which is the world tallest mountain. It stands between Nepal and Tibet.
How to reach there?
Most people climb Mt. Everest from the Nepal side rather than Tibet. You should take a flight from Kathmandu domestic airport to Lukla. Most of the people spend days there in the spring, acclimating to the altitude with rest and day hikes, waiting for the clear route to Everest’s summit to open in May.

Extreme altitude problem to the body
The area above 8,000 m is called the death zone because of its thin air and the brutal weather. As you go high you feel less oxygen and difficult to breath which may cause death also. So to be aware of altitude you should take supplemental oxygen. High altitude can create a lack of muscle control, Headaches, Snow blindness, hypothermia, etc.

Settlement
Mostly Sherpas people live in this area and they establish themselves as the world-famous high altitude climbers. They help the people who came for the Summit.
