Dolpo to Jumla is the best way to taste the remote lifestyle of Nepalese people as off the beaten trek. It lies in the west-north part of the country which is joining with the Tibet border. The settlement in this area is started in the 10th century by farmers and Tibetan nomads. Shey Phoksundo National Park covers most of the parts of Dolpo. It is generally the area of Bon-Po, a religion that origins in Buddhism.
Shey Phoksundo National Park is the largest and only trans-Himalayan National Park in Nepal. It covers an area of 3,555 square kilometers in the districts of Dolpo and Mugu. The park contains the famous Phoksundo Lake which is the second deepest lake in the world. The trail continues on three high passes, Numala 5360m, Bagalaa 5090m and Kagmarala 5115m from Blue Lake deep the Phoksundo. On the way, we could see the many rural settlements and their culture. Passing through charming villages with Nepal Dream Path the trek ends in jumla and back to Kathmandu.

Today, before your flight to Nepalgunj, you will get a half-day sightseeing tour inside Kathmandu Valley. You will explore Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swyambhunath, Bouddhanath, Pashupatinath, and many more during the sightseeing tour. As per your flight schedule, you will be transferred to the airport for the departure of Nepalgunj. Overnight stay at hotel/resort.

With half an hour scenic flight from Nepalgunj, you will reach Dolpo with the scenic, breathtaking views of Putana Himal and other beautiful mountains. From here, we start our trek on foot. The trail passes beautiful charming terrace fields along the Bheri River. The gorge of Bheri is narrow. With the stunning views of mountain peaks, we continue to walk to Dunai, an administrative region of Dolpo where we settle down at camp.
5-6 hrs walk All meals [Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Tea/Coffee] Camping
After having morning breakfast, the trail continues along the riverbank of the Bheri River. During the trial, several deep gorges, hanging bridges, beautiful soundless pine forest, and several charming villages can be passed. Finally, we conquer the beautiful small charming village, Saha Tara, surrounded by beautiful terraced fields. That is our destination for this day where we overnight stay.
6-7 hrs walk All meals during trek ( breakfast, lunch, dinner) Camping
Today after having morning breakfast, the trailheads to the north by following Tarap Chu River. The trail goes up and down with the passes of beautiful forest and a hanging bridge reaches Sandul Gompa where we take lunch. Continues hiking through farm terraces and villages, with ascending trails with beautiful forest, the beautiful small rural contours Lahine. Overnight at camp there.
5-6 hrs walk All meals during trek ( breakfast, lunch, dinner) Camping
The trail ascends with a steep climb along the valley of a narrow gorge. The trail continues up and down to the beautiful charming village of Nawarpani. Here, you can explore the rural lifestyle and their kitchen lies inside the cave. Overnight camping there.
5-6 hrs walk All meals during trek ( breakfast, lunch, dinner) camping
The trail gradually ascends to Kamattarka where we take a rest for a while. After that, the trail passes a narrow gorge and leaves the tree line with the passes of bushes of wild rose & juniper. After several hours of walking, we reach our destination Dho Tarap, inhabited by Tibetans. This village is surrounded by irregular stone walls and you have the chance to explore the Tibetan cultures and traditions. Overnight stay at camp.
Today is the acclimatization day for you. You can spend the day visiting the monasteries, and local people interacting with the local people, the village, their culture, and traditions. Mostly, you can take a rest for the more climb.

After the wonderful two-night stay at Dho Tarap, We climb toward upper Tarap Valley with the views of greenery grasslands. With the amazing views of Tarap valley, the trail leads to Tokyu village, the village of Buddhist monasteries. With the exploration of monasteries, the trail continues up to the valley which is quite rough till Numa La Base Camp. Overnight stay at camp.
7-8 hrs walk All meals, breakfast, dinner camping
After early morning breakfast, we set up our trek towards Nungla Pass. After a few hours of a steep climb, we reach the top of the pass from where we can see the beautiful views of Dhaulagiri and other snow-capped peaks. We can take some time to take pictures here. After taking memorable pictures from the past, the trail descends to Daniya Ghat. We settle camp there for the night.
6-7 hrs walk All meals, breakfast, dinner Camping
After early morning breakfast, the trail ascends with a steep climb up to the top of Baga La Pass. We can see the breathtaking views of Mt. Kanjirowa with other snow-capped mountains and the dry landscape. You can spend some time here taking pictures that will be your lifetime memories. After that, the trail descends to Yak Kharka for an overnight stay.
4-5 hrs walk All meals, breakfast, dinner Camping
Today after having morning breakfast, the trail gradually goes up and down passing through the lush vegetation of pines, junipers, and cypress. The trail offers stunning views of towering cliffs, beautiful landscapes different flora, and fauna throughout the trek. With the pass of the highest waterfall in Nepal, the trail reaches Ringmo, a village of the Bon Ethnic group. After a few minutes' walk, finally, we reach our dream place Sey Phoksunda Lake, the 2nd deepest lake in the world. We stay at a camp beside Sey Phoksundo Lake.
Today is the acclimatization day for us. We can explore the area around Sey Phoksundo Lake. We explore Ringmo village and a Bon monastery, built about 900 years ago. After that, we will back to Lake Side and explore it. Sey phoksundo is famous for its magnificent turquoise color and beautiful scene. We can see beautiful glaciers also there. We can explore the wonderful natural sites at the park and spend our time visiting many monasteries and Bon-po- religious sites.
4-5 hrs walk All meals, breakfast, dinner Camping
Today after the wonderful two nights camping at Sey Phoksundo Lake, the trail ascends till Ringmo Village. With the scenic view of the waterfall and Sey Phoksundo Lake from here, the trail leads towards a military camp at the connection of Pungmo and Phoksundo River. After an hour's walk, we reach the beautiful Buddhist village Pungmo village where we stay overnight at camp.
Today the trail ascends to Khyaru after having morning breakfast. The trail gradually ascends passing through the forested trail. During the trial, you can see the Himalayan blue sheep and wild fox with numerous birds and the fabulous view of Kanjirowa Himal. With the cross of many small streams and the Yulung bridge, the trail continues to follow along the Yulung Khola to Lasa, a flat grassy land. We overnight stay at camp.
Today the trail passes the Kagmara La Pass. Firstly, the trail descends with views of beautiful landscapes and snow-capped mountains. On the top, we can see thousands of Prayer flags that make the trek more romantic and enjoyable. Continues walking on the riverbank of the river, and the trail leads to Kagmara Phedi. Spectacular views of snow-capped peaks and Himalayan Blue Sheep can be seen during the trail. Stay overnight at the tented camp.
With the amazing views of Kanjirowa Himal Range, the trail descends on a cliff alongside the river and passes several bridges, and reaches Garpung Khola. The trail passes Jagdula Khola with the outstanding viewpoint of Kagmara and reaches Hurikot where we can observe the monastery. Overnight stay at camp.
Today the trail descends follows along the river bank and reaches Kaigaon. From Kaigaon, the trail ascends and descends passing several charming villages like Majhgaon, Sim, Balasa, Chaurikot. During the trail, we can see the beautiful terrace lands and fields and several farms. From here, the trail ascends with the sight of Kagmara Lek & Bheri River and reaches Nyauli Ghat. We overnight stay at the tented camp.
Today after having morning breakfast, the trail ascends up to the top of Maure La and crosses the bridge over the stream. The trail gradually descends with the amazing views of terrace fields, meadows, and the dense alpine forests. With the fabulous view of different peaks passing through the dense forest, we reach Chopta and overnight stay at a tent camp.
Today the trail passes several bridges over streams and reaches the village of Manigaon, a village of different ethnic communities. We can explore their mixed cultural activities and take lunch there. After that, the trail passes the beautiful terrace landscapes with green fields through dense alpine forest and clear steams till Kudigoan. The trail follows the riverbank of the river and reaches Gothi Chaur. Here, we can observe the sheep breeding research project as well as Vedi Farm. Overnight stay at tent camp.
Today with the amazing views of hills and peaks, the trail passes the irrigation channel and several houses; we reach Garjyangkot via Dochal. After lunch, the trail passes the beautiful terrace lands with meadows and several streams with bridges we reach Jumla. Overnight stay at tented camp.
We take the first flight from Jumla to Nepalgunj. After that, we take another flight from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu. Upon arrival at Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your respected hotel.
A free day in Kathmandu, inform Nepal Dream Path Treks staff if you would like to book a short tour in and around Kathmandu Valley. In the evening enjoy the farewell dinner organized by Nepal Dream Path Treks & Expedition Pvt. Ltd. with their team.
