Gosaikunda trek is the one of the best,short,sweet and holy trek of Nepal located in the langtang national park. langtang national park is the first himalayan national park of nepal established in 1976. Gosaikunda Lake lies at the altitude of 4,380m. UNESCO has listed Gosaikunda as a Ramsar site on 29 September 2007. The lake remains frozen during winters, but for the rest of the year,it melts to form the Trisuli river.This lake is a well-known pilgrimage site for Hindus. During Janai Purnima, thousands of Hindu devotees from all over the world visit this lake.
Gosaikunda Lake is not the only one lake we will witness during this trek. This region includes lakes like Sarawatikunda, Bhairabkunda & Suryakunda & many more. Each of them has its own religious significance.According to Hindu Mythology, it is believed that Lord Shiva has created this lake and is the adobe of Hindu deities Shiva and Gauri. People believe that “if you take bath in this lake then all your sins will be washed away, because of the holy water at Gosaikunda lake.”
Another major attraction of this trek is the great panoramic mountains we can witness during the trek. One of the most beautiful peaks visible during this trek is the Dorje Lakpa range ( 6,988m). Besides, we can witness numerous towering peaks like Ganesh Himal, Loribinayak Manaslu, and Langtang ranges.During this 8 days Gosaikunda trek, we will be following the Dhunche-Gosainkunda trekking route. As it is a short and moderate-level trek, anyone with a normal physical condition can do it.Following a quiet and pleasant trail running through different Tamang Villages, we can experience the cultural aspects and lifestyles of people there.Walking around Langtang National park, we can witness many beautiful birds, butterflies & endangered animals like Red Panda, Himalayan Deer, etc.If you are looking for a trek easily accessible from Kathmandu and has great natural, cultural & religious aspects, the Gosaikunda trek is perfect.

30m drive BB Plan Hotel/Resort
A Representative member from Nepal Dream Path will meet and welcome you at Tribhuwan International Airport and transfer you to your Hotel and help you till the check-in procedure ends in Hotel. Nepal Dream Path treks will arrange a meeting or a discussion program to introduce Nepal shortly and brief your daily activities.
7 hrs drive All meals includes- Breakfast, Lunch,Dinner, Tea/Coffee Tea house
In the morning after breakfast, we will move from the hotel to continue the trek. The journey pass through the hilly winding road along with the Trishuli River. On the way to Dhunche, we can see the great views of rivers, forests, and terraced fields. Dhunche is the district headquarters of Rasuwa district and "Langtang National Park" as well. Also, Dhunche holds the trekking permit checkpoint for all the internal and external tourists entering the national park. Overnight stay at Dhunche.
4-5 hrs walk All meals [Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Tea/Coffee] Tea House
We will follow the gradual uphill trail along the bamboo & Oak forest, pass the village of Deurali and reach Sing Gompa. It has a very famous monastery, so this place has great religious fame in the whole region. Overnight stay in Tea House.
5-6 hrs walk All meals [Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Tea/Coffee] Tea House
After Morning breakfast, we will pass through the village of Chandanbari and Cholangpati along with the gradual hill, we will trek to Laurebinayak. From the Laurebinayak , our trail will lead us to Gosainkunda walking for about 2-3 hours. The trail from Laurebina to Gosainkunda is well managed and was constructed by the Nepal Army for the security of trekkers. Overnight stay at a beautiful hotel on the bank of peaceful Gosainkunda lake.
Today is a rest and exploration day in Gosaikunda. Early morning, we will visit Gosaikunda lake and will take a holy bath in the freezing water of Gosainkunda Lake. There is a saying that by taking bath in Gosainkunda lake, all the sin will be washed away by the blessing of Lord Shiva. After the bath, we will worship three taps on the side of Gosainkunda lake. The three taps are believed to be the mark of the trident of Lord Shiva.
The rest of the day, we will spend witnessing beautiful surrounding vistas of mountain giants and landscapes. We will visit other lakes like Saraswatikunda, Bhairabkunda & Suryakunda as well. Suryakunda is the biggest among all lakes and the second most religiously significant lake in the region. It is at a distance of one hour from Gosainkunda. After a well-spent day, we will stay overnight at the beautiful Tea house at Gosainkunda.
5-6 hrs walk All meals [Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Tea/Coffee] Tea House
After having morning breakfast and capturing the last glimpse of Gosaikunda lake, we will move to Dhunche which takes about 5-6 hours to reach. A pleasant walk on the plain trail to the Laurebina and then the walk will continue on the downhill trail all the way to Dhunche. Resting at beautiful resting points on the way, and enjoying the beautiful mountain views for the last time, we will end our trek at Dhunche. Well-deserved rest and a hot shower to wash away all the dirt of the trek at Dhunche. Overnight Stay in Dhunche.
7 hrs drive BB plan Hotel/Resort
After breakfast at Dhunche, we will drive back to Kathmandu remembering all the good and bad moments of the trek which will become a lifetime experience. The drive will be pretty much the same as day 02. On reaching Kathmandu, we will transfer you to your respective hotel. Overnight stay in the Hotel.
Today, with a heavy heart we will transfer you to Tribhuvan International airport according to your flight schedule.
