Lobuche Peak (6119m) climbing is absolutely one of the greatest journeys to reach the Everest Base Camp and Kalapatthar trek which also contain several small summits before reaching Lobuche Peak. This peak lies near the Khumbu Glacier with two main peaks, Lobuche Far East and Lobuche East. It is recognized as the most famous trek in the Khumbu region. This is a challenging and adventurous trek in the Everest region. So they have the general knowledge of climbing and its Technics.  Lobuche Peak with Everest Base Camp offers all the trekkers to capture the amazing view of Mt. Everest, Amadablam, Cholache, Thamserku, Kantega Peak, Tawache Peak, and many other snowcapped peaks when they are in Lobuche. With Nepal Dream Path Treks and Expedition team the trek starts after a scenic flight to Lukla from the capital city Kathmandu; then follow the popular trekking trail of Everest Base Camp and Kalapatthar. Lobuche Base Camp is at 4,950m elevation within the rocky hollow and glaciated base.  The slope part of Lobuche peak requires fixing the rope, using of crampon, and other essentials which will instruct clearly by our mountain guide at Lobuche Base Camp and High Camp.  For the summit, firstly we pass several snow bumps and reach to notch then again further climb steeply with quite difficult snow slopes. The peak has only one popular face “eastern’ likely to summit by climbing.

Nepal Dream Path Treks staff will meet you on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, and help you to transfer to the hotel until the check-in procedure ends at Hotel. We arrange a meeting or discussion program which includes your daily schedule of Lobuche Peak climbing in Nepal and a brief introduction as well as rules and regulations regarding Nepal Trip.

In the morning domestic airport board the small twin otter or similar plane for the scenic flight to Lukla, on arrival meet our guides. At Lukla you will have time to visit around, while the Sherpa crew sort and divide the load, lunch depending upon the time of arrival either in Lukla or a few hours treks further on route to Phakding. The first-day trek on the gradual path all the way, with few ups offering views of Mt. Kusum-Kangru 6,369 m 2-3 hrs of gradual walk brings you to Phakding village for the overnight stop.

From Phakding on crossing the bridge over the River Dudh-Kosi the walk is pleasant with a few short uphill and downhill and re-crossing the same river again, with a magnificent view of Thermasarkhu 6,608m, reaching Monjo village, after Monjo, walk to the entrance gate of Sagarmatha National Park, from here a short descend with a gradual walk to Jorsalle village is reached, the last village till Namche Bazaar, with a pleasant walk on the river bed till to the last bridge over the Imjatse River, from here trek along the winding uphill path all the way to Namche Bazaar, with grand views of Kwande peak, Kusum Kanguru  & Mt. Everest with Nuptse wall, Lhotse and the closer view of Taweche peak can be seen all the way up, another hour walk up reaches to Namche Bazaar, the colorful houses are situated in an amphitheater landscape.


A rest day with a short walk for acclimatization to Sagarmatha National Park Headquarter, a panoramic view spot on top of Namche Bazaar with surrounding snow-capped mountains, valleys scenery visit the museum with all kinds of information history of  Himalaya, Geography, Culture, Mountaineering and on flora and fauna of this region, afternoon free at leisure.

After a rest Day at Namche, our team will move forward to Khumjung. The walk leads to Syangboche small airstrip, overlooking the magnificent view of Mt. Kwangde, Thermasherkhu, and other peaks with an aerial view of Namche Bazaar down below, after Syangboche, a short climb towards Khunde village situated in the glacial valley as Khumjung village beneath the sacred Mt. Khumbila 5,761m. A peaceful trek brings us to the quiet village of Khunde for an overnight stop. At Khunde with Khumbu’s to the hospital built by Sir Edmund Hillary's Foundation.

After a peaceful time at Khunde and Khumjung trail leads to an hour downhill joining the main trail at Shanasa, on this area chances of seeing beautiful colorful Danphe pheasant (Impeyan Pheasant) national bird of Nepal and elusive musk deer, sometimes a herd of Himalayan Thar (mountain goat). From here Gokyo route diverts from the main trail towards the north, the walk climbs on the steep rock steps embedded in a narrow cleft in a large boulder; the two trails soon join towards a large Chorten on the ridge top at Mong 3,973 meters.  From the Mong path meanders in a series of switchbacks down to a sandy slope to Dudh Kosi at Phortse Thanghka from here continue trek to Dole with a steep climb through the path of rhododendron forest which gives way to juniper and conifers trees. The trek winds through the Tongba village at 3,950m and Gyele at 3,960m and finally arrives at Dole. A superb view of Khumbila and Tawache 6,542m can be seen throughout the walk.

From Dole, the route climbs steadily along the side of the valley, rhododendron forest giving way to scrub juniper as altitude gains gradually. The trail climbs on a level path for an hour to Lhabarma Kharka at 4,325 m and furthers an hour to Luza at 4,390m; then skirting around a ridge for the views of Machermo village spread out in the valley below. There is an excellent Swiss chalet-style lodge at Machermo, arriving at Machermo on a good time for the overnight halt, with time to hike above the village. Just above the village, there is a grand view of the world's 6th highest Mt. Cho Oyo 8,210m and all the mountains that flank the Ngozumba Khumbus longest Glacier.

Today’s trek leads to the pristine lake at Gokyo, following a scenic trail to Pangka 4,545m and then descending slightly on the glacial-fed rivers which flow down the west of Ngozumba Glacier. Then climb a steep rocky path to the valley by the side of the glacier, passing the first lake. Soon arriving at the second lake, crossing the path which heads across the glacier to the Cho –La, then reaching the third lake known as Dudh Pokhari and on the east shore the summer settlement of Gokyo at 4,790 meters.

The early morning hike to Gokyo Ri is one of the highlights of this trekking, the view around is fabulous,  Gokyo Ri, a small ridgetop above the lake at 5,357m with panorama views of Cho Oyo, Gyachung Kang, Everest, Lhotse, Cholatse, Taweche, and far as to Mt. Makalu towards the east, taking about 2 hrs to reach this wonderful top. After a marvelous time return back to Gokyo and head to Dragnak. The trail climbs up in the beginning then drops down a bit and walks on the glacier. We should be careful while walking on the glacier. With the incredible views of Choyu, we reach Dragnak for an overnight stay.

After the morning breakfast, we start the trek. The trail ascends in the beginning then descends a little bit afterward the trail ascends to the top of Chola Pass. The trail is narrow and rocky and it may fall down the stones so we should be a little careful. From the top, you can enjoy the incredible views of Amadoblam, Nuptche, Everest, Makalu, and other surrounding snow-capped peaks. Take some photographs on the top and descend to the Dzongla with the great memories from the Chola Top and overnight stay there.

Today's walk offers a beautiful view of Mt.Tawache, Ama Dablam and to the north Pokalde 5,741m, Kongma-Tse 5,820m, the great wall of Nuptse & after reaching the junction where the path from Pheriche joins above Thugla ridge with great views of Mt.Pumori and other peaks west of Everest. From Lobuche, the trail is a gradual incline at a relatively low altitude and becomes steep and rocky till Lobuche Glacier. We can enjoy the panoramic view of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dabalam, Tawache, Pumori, and many snow-capped peaks. Once at Lobuche Base Camp, we set up the tent for the overnight stay.

After having morning breakfast we start the strenuous hike from Lobuche Base Camp to the High Camp. The trail is rocky moraine till High Camp. Once reach High Camp, we immediately set up the tent for the overnight stay. After that, we check up on all climbing gears and check up on the health condition. Then, we can explore the surrounding of the Camp and enjoy the sunset views of the snowy mountains from the High Camp.


8-9 hrs walk All meals includes- Breakfast, Lunch,Dinner, Tea/Coffee Tented Camp

Today is the summit day of Lobuche Peak. So wake up early in the morning and after having breakfast we start the strenuous hike to the summit. We follow the guide instructions for the summit of the peak. From the summit, we will get one of the best views of the greatest mountains like Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dabalam, Pumori, and other snow-capped peaks. We will take some rest and pictures on the summit and return back to the Lobuche Base Camp with a lifetime memory of the successful summit of Lobuche Peak. Overnight stay at tented camp.

The trail decline with the steep and rocky path from Lobuche Glacier. With the paranoiac views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dabalam, Pumori, and other snow-capped peaks we reach Lobuche. We check-in at the tea house there for the overnight stay.


6-7 hrs walk All meals includes- Breakfast, Lunch,Dinner, Tea/Coffee Tea House

The trek leads to the foot of Mt. Everest, the first-hour walk is gradual up to the valley at the end of the grassy field.  A short downhill reaches Gorakshep located on the flat field below Kalapatthar at 5,545m and Mt.Pumori at 7,145m. Gorakshep has three tea houses.  Everest Base Camp is lively during the high expedition season. On reaching the foot of the world’s highest peak, after an enjoyable time walk back to Gorakshep for the overnight stop.

On the morning climb to Kalapatthar, on reaching the top ridge of Kalapatthar a small rocky peak from the southwest ridge of Mt.Pumori, with incredible views Mt. Everest looks close between the peak of Nuptse and Lho-la and Lhotse with surrounding high snow-capped giants. After the pleasant stay at Kalapatthar, the trail descends with the zigzag path to Dingboche via Gorakshep. We check-in at the tea house and explore the village.

After early morning breakfast, the trail goes down by the river, passing several charming small villages with a great view of Island Peak, Lotshe, Nuptse. With the wonderful valley view of Pheriche, the trail goes down to Pangboche from where we can see the great view of Mt. Amadabalam, one of the prettiest mountains in this region. The trail still goes down and crosses the river through the bridge and gradually goes down. The trail hits Tyngboche after the last half-hour climb. We can explore the biggest monastery of this region here at Tyngboche which is re-constructed in 1991. We overnight stay there.

The trail continues through the hillside covered by rhododendron and juniper trees where we may eye the wildlife like pheasant, musk deer, mountain goats, and snow leopard. We ascend on the steep slope and wind through several bands. After crossing the bridge over the Dudh Koshi River, the trail follows the Dudh Koshi Gorge descending rapidly through the pine forest before Sanasa. After passing the chorten, we reach  Namche Bazar, we will head to the lodges and rest there overnight.

The last day of this great adventure is a nice walk to Lukla, enjoying the lush green scenery around, apart from a few short uphill the only long climb will be just before Lukla takes about an hour from the old big oak tree. On reaching Lukla, prepare for the last day dinner and party with Sherpa staff, porters, and trekking members.

The flight time to Kathmandu is in the morning sometimes the flight time can be delayed due to bad weather and other reason, as the flight time takes about 30 minutes to reach Kathmandu, a panoramic view of the snow-capped peaks can be seen during the flight. At Kathmandu air terminal, DP Treks staff receives and transfers you back to your respective hotels.


Your journey in Nepal is going to end from today. Nepal Dream Path staff will escort you to the airport for the final departure. We will be there in 3 hours according to the flight schedule. Nepal Dream Path will give you a bid farewell greeting and wishes for the next visit to the Himalayan country Nepal.
