trip Overview
Lumba Sumba Pass Trek recently opened the new, excited, and adventurous trail for Lumba Sumba Pass Trek which is located east part of Nepal between Kanchenjunga and Makalu-Barun valley. This trek takes all the trekkers from Kanchenjunga to the Makalu region via the Lumbasumba pass. The adventurous off-the-beaten trail offers a wide range of flora and fauna as well as different species of birds and wildlife animals such as Snow leopard, musk deer, red panda, etc.
Lumba Sumba Pass Trek with Nepal Dream Path Treks and Expedition team starts after flying to Biratnagar and driving to Taplejung from Kathmandu. We start trekking from Taplejung and pass many villages with different ethnic groups and cultural systems. The Lumba Sumba Pass trail offers panoramic views of mountain massifs as well as many mountain lakes in Olangchung Gola. Pangpema viewpoint 5,388m and Lumba Sumba pass 5,200m are the maximum altitude points of this trek. The Lumba Sumba Pass Treks provide an opportunity to reach not only the popular protected areas – Kanchenjunga Conservation Area and the Makalu Barun National Park but also to reach the base of the world’s third-highest mountain peak “Mt. Kanchenjunga 8,586m” and Kumbakarna Range as well as beautiful Barun valley inside Makalu Barun National Park. Our trek ends at Khandbari and flies to Kathmandu from Tumlingtar airport.
