trip Overview

Manaslu and Larkya La pass with Nepal Dream Path Treks lead towards the famous ancient Gorkha Kingdom in the midwest Himalayan range of Nepal. The unique trail of Manaslu and Larkya La pass follows upstream of Budi-Gandaki River leading from the sub-tropical forest to the dry arctic zone. It includes a high Tibetan climatic zone with magnificent views of the world’s 8th highest Mt. Manaslu at 8,163 m, as well as spectacular views of the other closest peaks. This beautiful trekking route was first opened in 1991.

This region is home to different groups of caste and ethnicity and gives you a different type of tastes of culture and lifestyles. At the beginning of the trek, People following the Hindu religion i.e. Brahmin, Chettri, etc are found in a lower region, and Buddhist people are found and living in the higher altitudes with Tibetan culture and lifestyles. This route provides the best opportunity for travelers to witness the different ethnic variations.  The fascinating and enthralling surroundings of the primitive region will capture your mind.

Manaslu region is a restricted region and we need a special permit from the Nepal Government for this trek.  Trek slowly gains altitude over the highest point of this great trip. After the top of Larkya La, the downhill path leads through the beautiful forest of pines, and rhododendrons, as well as meets the Annapurna Circuits Trail after reaching Dharapani. Then the journey continues towards Beshishar offering stunning views of Mt. Manaslu and the Annapurna range. It also offers a magnificent view of  Mt. Lamjung with the traditional Tibetan villages. This trek is becoming famous day by day as an optional trek of the Annapurna region in the western part of Nepal.

Larkey La Pass

2017

I am so glad to know DP. He is a very capable and joyful guide, gets along with everyone he meets, and is cool under any pressure that comes about on his treks. He was, quite literally, a life saver on our Manaslu trek 7 years ago. I will always remember him. Highly recommended. Chat Conversation End
