trip Overview

Nar Phu Valley trek is one of Nepal’s popular treks, which lies in the remote area of Manang District. You need a special permit to visit this region as this region is considered a restricted area in Nepal. This trek combines the remote villages of Nar and Phu, lovely forests, amazing rock formations, yaks, Kang La Pass, and Himalayan culture. Trekkers must be physically fit to do this trek. It offers a fascinating landscape an extension to the standard Annapurna Circuit tea house trek behind the Annapurna Himal.

Nepal Dream Path starts the Nar Phu Valley Trek with a drive from Kathmandu to Chamje, the starting point of the Annapurna Circuit. On the way, trekkers can witness the amazing views of mountains such as (Annapurna, Gangapurna, and Ticlicho peaks, and the alpine scenery of hidden mountain valleys. Passing colorful Tibetan chortens and carving stones into deep canyons and gorges, you will get a chance to learn about villagers in Phu. It is not only about two villages in the valley; we can see villages like Manang, chamje, Meta, and Kyang along the trail of Nar Phu trekking. The vegetation gradually changes to alpine and then sub-alpine scrub; favored by Bharal (blue sheep) and snow leopards. We can have the great pleasure of sightseeing inside the Tashi Lhakhang Monastery.

There are two major passes Thorong La Pass and Kang La Pass. In the middle couple of days of the trek take you over the high Kang La pass and then down again to Ngawal. When trekkers go through these two passes they will feel like they are traveling to heaven. The best time to do this trek is Spring and autumn.
