Ganesh Himal Base Camp trek is categorizing under the moderate level of trekking. This camp is situated on the north side of the capital city Kathmandu which is in between Langtang Valley and Manaslu massif. The Ganesh Himal trek presents you with the embarrassment of flora as well as fauna that abounds in Nepal.

The trek starts from a day drive to Arughat Bazaar. Everyone can get a chance to see the precious stone crystal in the Ganesh Himal Region. In this trek, trekkers can see the amazing view of  Langtang, Gosai Kund, Ganesh Himal, Boudha Peak, Himal Chuli, Machhapuchre, South Annapurna and Annapurna II. The trail leads through river valleys traditional farming communities from different ethnic groups, wild forests of pine and rhododendron. The trail also offers spectacular views of the Himalayan range such as Ganesh Himal, Mt. Manaslu, Gorkha Himalayan range, Shringi Himal and many other snow-covered peaks. This wonderful journey leads us to various Buddhist monasteries, Gumpa chortens, and etymology of various ethnic groups. Day 06: Trek from Jagat to Lokpa [2240m] [5-6 hrs walk].

Detail Itinerary

On arrival at Kathmandu Airport meet our Nepal Dream Path Treks staff for transportation to respective hotels, Nepal Dream Path Treks guide brief of the hotel, Kathmandu, Trekking, do's and don’ts and other related information that you might require while in Nepal with Nepal Dream Path Treks.


6-7 hrs drive All breakfast, lunch, dinner Tea House

Our journey starts after having breakfast heading towards Arughat by private transport. We cross Kathmandu valley and follow along the Trishuli river. We cross the Trishuli River through the bridge and passes along through the dense forest and reach the huge beautiful village called Arughat which lies at the edge of the beautiful river Budhi Gandaki.  overnight stay there.


4-5 hrs walk All breakfast, lunch, dinner Tea House

After having breakfast we move to the west side of Budhi Gandaki River passes many small shops with small villages and meeting the children go to the school and reach the beautiful little village of Soti Khola, the place where Soti Khola meets at Budhi Gandaki River. We stay at the Tea House of Soti Khola and overnight stay.


5-6 hrs walk All meals [Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Tea/Coffee] Tea House

The very next morning, we hike through the pass of the suspension bridge of Soti Khola. On the way, we pass through the beautiful jungle, some villages and some coffee lands. This trek goes along to Budhi Gandaki river bank to the beautiful village Machha Kholagaun. Machha kholagau is the meeting area of Machha Khola and Budhi Gandaki river and very famous for fresh fish. You can get traditional foods with fresh fish curry here as your wish at dinner. Overnight stay there.


6-7 hrs walk All meals during trek ( breakfast, lunch, dinner) Tea House

After having breakfast we start our hike for Jagat. We walk with the bank of Budhi Gandaki River and passes the beautiful charming village of Tatopani where you can get the chance of bathing of natural hot spring. After the continuous walk on the riverbank of Budhi Gandaki, we reach Dobhan and the trails go continue to the north until we reach Jagat, the place of stone flag street. We overnight stay there.


5-6 hrs walk All meals during trek ( breakfast, lunch, dinner) Tea House

This trail is restricted of Manaslu region and Tsum Valley and we need to have a permit to entry there. When a guide shows our permit at Jagat then we start our hike along the riverbank of Budhi Gandaki River. We ascend and descends with the beautiful scenario and pass through the suspension bridge we reach the village of Philim. The trail passes the beautiful forest and hillsides only. The trail continues ascends towards the beautiful village of Lokpa. We can feel isolated when we reach Lokpa due to the view of hillsides only. overnight there.

The trail is quite silent and it is the little bit tough too. So we have to carry the energy bar to this trail. Through the passes of the silent tropical forest, we hike sometimes ascends and sometimes descend until we cross the small suspension bridge. The trail passes small stone walls and some tea house also and reach Chhumling. From the upper side of the village, we can see the Buddhist Monastery and the beautiful panoramic scene of Ganesh Himal.

The trek is quite long and ascends mostly. Don't forget to carry an energy bar. The trek heading to Chhokung Paro. We can see the fabulous view of Ganesh Himal range, Baudha and Himalchuli peaks from Chhokung Paro. The trail continuously ascends towards Lamagaun with the beautiful view of mountains, terrace lands and fields and streams.  We get a warm welcome from the local people and get a chance to see their Tibetan cultures. We can see the polyandry system there.

From Lamagaun the trail gradually ascends to Mu Gumpa, the largest monasteries in this region. We pass lots of mani walls and chortens on the trail. To pass the trail, we shouldn't forget to bring energy bars. We can see the beautiful panoramic views of mountains such as Ganesh Himal, Shringi Himal, the Langtang Glacier and many more. Overnight stay at Mu Gumpa.

From Mu Gumpa the trek starts to Rachhen Gumpa after having our morning breakfast.  Rachen Gumpa is the largest nunneries of the Tsum Valley located at the foothill of the mountains bordering of Nepal and Tibet. After the visit of this nunnery, the trail leads to Chhokung Paro where we overnight stay there.

Today's trail is quite long, don't forget to bring energy bar. The trail starts to the beautiful village of Domje. The trail descends to Gho in 3 hours, continue to Domje through a narrow path. We take lunch there and hike towards Domje. The trail is narrow and zigzag steep till to Langdang Khola and ascends to Gumpa. We can greet by the teachers or nuns from the Gumba where we can get the permissions to visit the Gumbas. From there, we can see the panoramic views of mountains esp. Ganesh Himal.


4-5 hrs walk All meals during trek ( breakfast, lunch, dinner) Tea House

The day is the main day trip for every trekker. After having breakfast, the trail goes through the forest up to Langdang Khola. After that, we hike towards Torogumba Glacier and the Ganesh Himal Base Camp. We overnight stay at the tent there.

After the wonderful stay at Ganesh Himal Base Camp, we hike bake to Domje. The hike goes towards Torogumba Glacier and to Langdang Khola. We pass the beautiful forest, terrace lands and the great scenario with the narrow steep path and overnight stay at Domje.

The trail descends towards to Landang Khola and we cross this with a swing bridge and passes along the forest. We reach Ripchet after crossing another swing bridge from where we can take the picture as our wish. We can pass the fertile land of barley and buckwheat on the trail. The trek descends with the loose steep path and cross the river again and ascends towards Lokpa via pristine tempered forest.

The trail gradually descends to Philim where we stay for lunch. After lunch, We descend to the Budi Gandaki River and cross it through the suspension bridge. The trail passes lots of up and down hills in the riverbank of Budhi Gandaki River and reaches Jagat. We overnight stay there.

Today, the trail descends through the small village and cross the Yaru Khola through the suspension bridge, we reach Dhoban. We stay there for rest. After that, the trail descends the ridge of Dohan Danda and reach to Budhi Gandaki River which is cross by the suspension bridge we hike towards Tatopani. The trail gradually descends to Machha Khola Village via Khorla Beshi. From here, the tail is minor up and down and reach to Lopu Beshi. We stay there for the night.

The day is the final day of our trek. The trail mostly descends with the beautiful terrace fields and steep rocky till Budhi Gandaki River. Then we pass the trail along the riverbank of Budhi Gandaki, sometimes up and down along with the beautiful Saal forest till Soti Khola. We cross the river through the bridge and hike towards Arughat Bazzar Via Arkhet Bazzar. During the trail, we pass uphills and downhills, a beautiful forest full of monkey, beautiful terrace fields, pretty waterfalls and several charming villages. We overnight stat at Arughat Bazzar.


7 hrs drive BB Plan Hotel/Resort

Drive back to Kathmandu. After having breakfast, we drive towards Kathmandu by private transport and transfer to the respected hotel.


The day is for your leisure day and for personal activities and for shopping at Thamel. If you need more extra trek on this day our guide is ready for your request and help you. Otherwise, you can enjoy this leisure day as your wish.


This is the final day and we will give a great farewell for all of our clients with the best wishes for the future and transfer to the airport for your departure.
