Manaslu Rupina la Pass Trek is one of the most adventurous trekking, less ventured by other trekking companies or by westerners to Rupinala at 4,720m. Manaslu Rupina La Pass Trek is a challenging, adventurous, and strenuous trekking in the Manaslu area, situated in the southern Manaslu region of Gorkha district, officially opened for trekkers in 1991 by the Nepal Government.

Rupina la Pass routes lead to the spectacular and unbeaten trail of the Manaslu region. This trek is best for those adventure seekers who love to do adventurous activities and strenuous walks. This trek allows you to witness the 8th highest peak of the world with your own eyes Mt.Manaslu (8163m/26871ft). Moreover, it offers to collect the real experience of trekking in the snow-covered landscape with views of Mt. Himalchuli(7893m) and Boudha Himal(6672m). Mostly, the trek offers panoramic and beautiful views of Himalayan scenery, lush valleys, beautiful greenery landscapes, flora, and fauna. The habitat of different ethnic groups always provides a warm welcome as well as helps to explore the remarkable culture, traditions, and lifestyles.

Rupina La Pass Trek with Nepal Dream Path treks & Expedition begins from Baluwa, Gorkha. The trail passes Barpak, Kharka, Rupina La Phedi, and the top of Rupina La Pass. Then, descend towards Arughat via Dhovan via Kharka. For this trek, we need to have certain permission as well as have to complete all the formalities of the Nepal government. Day 06: Trek to Rupina la phedi [3,440m].
Day 07: Trek to Rupina la high camp [3,800m].
Day 08: Trek to the other side of Rupina La Phedi.
Day 09: Trek to Jarang [3,420m].
Day 10: Trek to Kharka.
Day 11: Trek to Nyak.
Day 12: Trek to Philim.
Day 13: Trek to Dobhan [1,070m].
Day 14: Trek to Lapubesi [850m].
Day 15: Trek to Aarughat.

8-9 hrs drive All breakfast, lunch, dinner Tea House

Our journey starts after having breakfast heading towards Baluwa by private transport. We cross Kathmandu Valley and follow along the Trishuli River. We can observe the beautiful landscapes, and streams and follow the river edge of Darundi Khola. We can pause here and there to observe the historical monuments of the Shah dynasty kingdom in Gorkha district and the panoramic view of snow-peaked mountains. With the resume of a Picturesque view, finally, we reach Baluwa next to the Darundi River. Overnight stay at tea house there.


5-6 hrs walk All meals [Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Tea/Coffee] Tea House

Today, the trail follows the riverbank of Darundi River passing the beautiful paddy field to the right side of the river. The trail ascends higher up and we can see the fabulous view of the river valley and Buddha Himal. We pass the trail through a dry terraced farming field and herds shelter. The trail is steeply towards the largest village of  Barpak. We will get a warm welcome from the local people and get a chance to explore the village that exposes social culture, lifestyles, and their village society.

We started our hike with the fabulous view of Buddha Himal after having breakfast. The trail ascends from Barpak and passes the beautiful dense forest of oak and rhododendron. The forest seems colorful and attractive when the rhododendron blossoms. During the trek, we get the chance to witness the Himalayas closer and their panoramic views. The trailing stop for today when we reach Gar Kharka, an open grassy land, surrounded by forest, overnight camping there.

Today, the trail is quite long, so don't forget to bring energy bars.  The trail plays hide and seek in the dense forest area which is zigzag also.  With the view of several greenery grasslands, mountain views, and streams, we reach a big Kharka where we have lunch. After lunch, we pass the trail which is narrow and leads to Rupena La Phedi via Bhedi Kharka. Overnight camp there.

After morning breakfast, the trail ascends to Rupina la high camp which is steep. We pass the beautiful terrace lands and several herders' huts on the trail. As we ascend higher, we get closer to the snow, first light and then heavier respectively. We arrive at Rupina La Base Camp after we cross the snowfalling area. It will be a breathtaking moment for everyone when we stand at Rupina La Base Camp and will be the greatest Nepal experience. We overnighted at a tented camp.

Today, the trail descends towards Rupina La Phedi from another side of the camp. The trail is quite difficult and slippery at first due to snow. After that, we gradually descend through the beautiful terraces, grasslands, and several herders' huts. With the breathtaking views of the natural scenario, we reached Rupina La Phedi and overnight camped there.

The trail gradually descends crossing Rupina La Pass today. We pass the glacier on the trail. Mountains views are closer as you get the witness fabulous views of Ganesh Himal, Shringi Himal, and Boudha Himal. We camped at Jarang for the night's stay.

Today, with the stunning views of the mountains at Jarang, the trail goes up and down, passing the rhododendron forest with terrace lands and grassy hills. We can see several herders' hut and their castles on grassy hills. We reach Kharka after a 5-6 hour hike. We overnight stay in a tent.

Today, the trek starts after having breakfast from Kharka to Nyak. The trail ascends and descends, with stunning views of Mountains, terrace lands, and grassy high hills. Somewhere the trail is steep, slope, and narrow. After a 5-6 hours hike, we reached the small village named Nyak. Nyak itself is isolated from the hands of the government when we visit this village and come to know that. People are poor and involved in livestock. We camped there for the night.

After having breakfast, the trail descends gradually for Philim. The trail goes up and down along the Budhigandaki River. We pass beautiful terrace lands and a waterfall with breathtaking views of mountain peaks. After 5 hour's walk, we hit Philim where we overnight stay.

The morning walk leads on the gradual winding trail through forest and farmlands before a steep descent to Sirdibas and then to the village of Salleri, where some of these villages have a stone-paved path and meeting mule and donkey trains and caravan carrying supplies for upper Manaslu and Tsum area, the journey continues through Jagat after a pleasant walk of 5 hours, passing the paddy fields leads to a village of Yaruphant, Dobhan. We overnight stay there.

On leaving Dobhan, the day gets warmer as the path descends to more climate areas of paddy fields the trek leads to a village of hot springs at Tatopani where pilgrims storm inauspicious to bathe in the hot spring water believes it heals several skin diseases. From here, the walk is pleasant most of the way to Machhakhola village, a small village and it was popular for small fish from the near stream called Machhakhola (meaning fish stream). After that, we descend through the winding path which leads to Labubeshi where we overnight stay.

The final day walk, is on the gradual winding path which leads to a few short ups with a more or less downhill walk, passing through smaller farm villages and cultivated fields till reaching the warmer sub-tropical area, coming to the large village of Arughat, clustered on both sides of the River Budhi-Gandaki linked by a suspension bridge, this is the largest settlement in the valley and it is also a junction to various important places. The path from here across the River leads to Dhading & Trisuli Bazaar, and the other west trail leads towards Pokhara, as today's walk is quite short 4 to 5 hours with time for a visit to the village or for the cool splash in the Budhi Gandaki River.


After breakfast drive leads through the winding road towards Kathmandu with a wonderful and memorable time in the mountains, The return journey is made through the alternative route Dhading as it is more accessible and shorter to reach Kathmandu on time.
