Paldor Peak Climbing (5896m) is the popular trekking peak in the Ganesh Himal region located at the southeast end of Ganesh Himal an origin place of the Trisuli and Gandaki River. It was first climbed by John Cleare and Ian Howell in 1974. The great summit experience of Paldor Peak offers panorama views of Mt. On a clear day the Ganesh Himal, with the icy fangs of Pabil (7,101m/23,300ft)Logsang Karpo (7,150m/23,458ft), Ganesh I (7,406m/24,298ft), and Ganesh V (6,950m/22,802ft) can be seen forming an imposing backdrop to the northwest of Kathmandu.

Paldor peak climbing is one of the most untouched Himalayan routes in the Ganesh Himal range. We start our trek to Paldor peak with a scenic drive to Sabrubeshi from Kathmandu after a 6-7 hours drive. We will encounter too many rivers like the Langtang River and the Bhotekoshi River leading us to the heritage villages of Goljung and Gatlang. After that, the trail heads through the forest up to Kahrpudanda via Somdang. After passing Kharpudanda, the trail heads towards the base camp and the summit of Paldor. On reaching the summit, we can see the majestic views of snowcapped mountains and the brown hills of the Tibetan region. This trek rewards us with the untouched beauty of the nature of Nepal, diverse landscapes, charming villages;  the dense forest with flora and fauna, and the local people with their lifestyle.

Paldor peak climbing requires good physical fitness and willingness to follow the Climbing Guide.  While it is less than 6,000m, it provides a satisfying and not too difficult in climbing.
