trip Overview
Dhaulagiri Round Trek is one of the challenging and best treks in Nepal. Mt. Dhaulagiri is the 6th highest mountain in Nepal and 7th in the world situated in the Mustang and Myagdi district of Nepal. We recognize Mt. Dhaulagiri easily by its looks as it is totally different from other mountains. This trek offers stunning views of Dhaulagiri I, II, III, IV, V, and many more.
Dhaulagiri Round Trek with Nepal Dream Path Trek and Expedition starts from Kathmandu to Darbang via Pokhara. From Dorbang, we start our trek on foot by heading to the villages of Darapani. Then leads to Muri from where we head north still keeping to the banks of the Myagdi River. Until reaching French Pass and Dhaulagiri Base Camp with the spectacular views of various mountains including Mt. Dhaulagiri, Muktinath Himal, Putali, Tukuche peak, etc. It follows Moraine, glaciers, and villages of different ethnic groups esp. Thakalis, Magars & Gurungs. Different flora and fauna can be viewed during this Dhaulagiri trekking. We could see wild animals like Himalayan Thar, Red Panda, Leopards, Musk deer, and different species of birds.
After crossing the French pass, we reach the hidden snow valley which gives you the taste of the White world. After the hidden valley, the trail goes to Kaligandaki Valley via Dhampus pass and to Marpha. This trek allows trekkers to have a lifetime experience leading through the French pass to the World’s deepest gorge of Kali Gandaki Valley. This trek has to walk through glaciers which gave you an extra feel competing with other treks.
