trip Overview
Mardi Himal Poon Hill Trek is a combination of two treks, Mardi Himal & PoonHill. Nepal Dream Path Treks and Expedition is arranging this trek in a combined package. Poon Hill trek is one of the most popular treks in the Annapurna region which brings you closer and allows you to take in the panoramic view of the Himalayas. It is also popular for sunrise and sunset view. Similarly, the Mardi Himal trek is off the beaten trail and a less touristic area. So, it is suitable for those people who prefer a less crowded area trek as well as the newly opened trail.
Nepal Dream Path Treks and Expedition start Mardi Himal Poon Hill Trek by a short drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Then, we drive to Nayapul and trek to Thikhedhunga. Walking up and down the hills and crossing the beautiful Rhododendron forest, we reach Ghorepani. In the morning, we hike to Poon Hill. It welcomes you with breathtaking views of sunrise and the mesmerizing view of Golden Mountain with the first touch of sun rays which is the first attraction of this place. From there, we will get a chance to see many Himalayan Ranges like Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Himchuli, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Fish Tail, and many more.
After this beautiful village of Poon Hill, we head towards the Mardi Himal. This trek is enjoyable and requires minimum effort and a less crowded area. This trek also offers us a spectacular view of Mt. Macchapuchre, Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Himchuli, Mt. Dhaulagiri, and many more. We reach High Camp and Mardi Himal Base Camp on the following day.

We are a couple and we did Mardi Himal Pool Hill trekking with DP and Sudip. Their guidance and support were amazing. They always tried to pleased and surprised us, nothing was impossible for them. DP’s knowledge and mountain experience is something unbelievable. On the way, he was explaining the Nepali culture and mountain stories. Thank you for showing us the Himalayas and Nepal, definitely, I am going to be back with Nepal Dream Path Treks and Expedition.
