Tilicho Lake Trek is one of the adventurous as well as challenging treks in the Annapurna region. It is located on the northern slopes of Annapurna and Thorang Peak. Tilicho Lake is the highest lake in the world.
Nepal Dream Path treks start the trek from Chamje as Annapurna Circuit Trekking. This trek follows the Marshyangdi River all the way to its source at the glacial lake in Manang. This wonderful adventure leads through remote farm villages and terraced fields from the sub-tropics, climate to the Arctic zone. The Khanshar village also known as the last village of Nepal falls along the way as we trek up towards Tilicho Lake.
Most of the tribal inhabitants are Brahmin, Thakalis, Gurung, Magars, and further north lives the Manang people of Tibetan origin. Tilicho lake trek provides the world’s best trekking routes including a variety of scenery and culture than other Himalayan regions. This route via Tilicho Lake and the two high passes Masokanto La 5121m is still trek and offers adventurous trekkers to high altitude pass with the technical situation like the use of a rope.

Day 08: Rest day at Manang.

Day 12: Trek to Nama Phu 3,510m via Masokanto La 5,099m. 5-6 hrs

Day 14: Trek to Jomsom 2,713m. 2-3 hrs.
Day 15: Fly to Pokhara and transfer to Hotel.

On the first day or night in Kathmandu, you will be well informed regarding the time for your sightseeing tour in Kathmandu at places of interest.

The morning begins with a scenic drive towards the picturesque famous Pokhara with an interesting ride on the Himalayan foothills. Just a few hours ahead of Pokhara the drive diverts from the Dumre town towards north to Beshishar. The journey continues further following the raging Marshyangdi River to Syange village for the overnight stop.
3-4 hrs walk All meals [Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Tea/Coffee] Tea House
Morning drive continues on the high road with fascinating scenery of the gorge, high hills, waterfalls, and snow-capped peaks. The dirt jeep road for two to three hours, the drive continues through the winding path from Syange and Jagat village, the trail follows to a steep climb for half an hour, on arriving the lush farm terraces field once on the top of the ridge a magnificent view of the raging waterfalls can be seen on route to Jagat. From this village, the journey leads through the terraced farms coming to Chamje village, crossing the bridge it's another steep climb for another hour till Tal is reached, the village is situated on the gorge-valley by the side of the river Marsyangdi. On leaving Tal the drive gets easier on the gentle path until to a large bridge, after the bridge brings to the village of Dharapani for the overnight stop where the driving adventure stops here.

Our real walking adventure begins from Dharapani with a change in vegetation, people, and landscapes. Air gets cooler as our trail climbs through the alpine forest to Bagarchhap, the first village on this walk with typical Tibetan architecture. After a nice morning walk altitude gains slowly reaching the apple country at Dhanaqi the trek passes through farm areas, apple, and apricot orchards and beautiful pine forest with views of Lamjung Himal and Annapurna II, trek follows the river Marsyangdi upstream passing by the several villages before Chame is reached for the overnight stop which is the district headquarters of Manang region.

Walks from here follow the other side of the river on the northern bank, after leaving Chame, the path passes through pine woods and small villages with few ups and downs till you reach Bratang. From here trek continues on the gradual path up to a bridge, from the bridge a short steep climb through the pine forest brings you to the top of the ridge of Pisang village. After walking past the tree lines with a great view can be seen of Pisang peak and the Chulu peak with Pisang village below, from this ridge a gentle descent for an hour brings to the windswept village of Pisang.
4-5 hrs walk All meals [Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Tea/Coffee] Tea House
From Pisang onwards, the walks lead with the constant view of the high snow-capped peaks. The walk climbs steeply up for half an hour, after a short gradual walk from the Pisang village then reaching the top with dramatic views of the valleys, Hongdae village with its short air-strip and the great peaks of Gangapurna, Annapurna II, III, Tilocho, and on the right Chuli east, on the back Pisang peak. The walk from here is on the downhill and gradual path all the way to Hongdae, and to Manang, adding a slight touch of altitude as you near to the village of Braga and Manang, here with time to spend the morning visiting Braga Monastery. The largest in the district, it has an outstanding display of statues, thangkas, and religious manuscripts. From here it is only an hour's walk to Manang for the overnight stop.
A rest day for acclimatization visit Manang village of about 500 flat-roofed houses, with spectacular scenery -Annapurna II, Annapurna III (7,555 m), Gangapurna (7,454 m ) to the South - Tilicho (7,132 m) and Chulu West (6,583 m)0and Chulu East (6,059 m) to the North.
4-5 hrs walk All meals [Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Tea/Coffee] Tea House
From Manang, the walk follows on the main trail of Annapurna circuit, then reaching the last village of Manang at Tenki, then leaving the main trail towards Tilocho on the south-west route after four hours of good walk reaching at Khangsar for the overnight stop and the last village before Thinegaon and Jomsom.

The walk from Khangsar leads to the serene wilderness in the arid country, walk leads downhill for a while, then starts to climb on the windswept area with few patches of small trees and alpine shrubs, the walk finally leads to the turquoise lake of Tilicho and of the holy lake for the Hindu's and Buddhist there is two tea house or a lodge present by the shore of the lake, overnight camp by the lakeshore with time for a short hike around.
4-5 hrs walk All meals [Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner] Tea House
After a great time at Tilicho Lake trek leads further on for 4 hours in perfect wilderness heading towards the high pass of Tilicho, on arriving at Namaphu the base of the high pass of Tilicho and Masokanto which are over 5,000m pass. Overnight camp on the meadow chances of seeing some wildlife mountain antelopes, musk deer, or the elusive snow leopard around this area.
5-6 hrs walk All meals [Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner] Tea House
An early start for the trek and climb to traverse high Tilicho pass and then descend towards Masokanta base after a break here, walking slowly on the rocky rubble where the path can be misleading following our veteran and expert guides towards the top of Masokanta-la overlooking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains Tilicho and Nilgiri's peaks with Dhaulagiri range towards South West. Trek descends to camp on the summer pasture on route to Jomsom after a strenuous walk of six hours. (in snow conditions it can take longer).
6 hrs walk All meals [Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner] Tea House
After tough trekking of the previous day, the walk today is gradual on the downhill slopes towards Kaisang overlooking beautiful views of the surrounding landscapes and snow-capped peaks on reaching Kaisang, a small Sheppard’s place, if time allows head towards Thinigaon village close to Jomsom town above Kaligandaki River, on reaching Thinigaon after a nice trek of few hours overnight camp by the village.
2-3 hrs. All meals [Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Tea/Coffee] tae house
This the last day of this adventurous journey leads to Jomsom with an hour of leisure walk passing several scattered houses and farms, then reaching towards civilizations at Jomsom town for the party with fellow members, guides and porters after this great adventure with Nepal dream Path Treks.

After this remarkable adventure and with a stop at beautiful Pokhara morning driving journey on the main busy highway to Kathmandu following river Trishuli for a while, and then reaching at Kathmandu by mid or late afternoon, on arrival check-in at the Hotel.
