trip Overview
Jomsom Muktinath Trek is an exciting trek in the Annapurna & Mustang region of Nepal. This trek is suitable for those who want to experience the lifestyle of the mountain people, unique temples, and deserted plateau above the treeline. The temple of Muktinath with 108 water taps emerging holy water is equally blessed by both Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims. Because of its high altitude, this holy pilgrimage site is famous around the world. Jomsom is a windy valley famous for quick entry and exit of flights.
This classic pilgrimage site trek starts with a drive from Kathmandu to the beautiful lake city of Pokhara. Pokhara is a small city with many beautiful lakes and pilgrimage sites. From Pokhara, we will have a short and scenic flight to Jomsom. This trek follows an ancient pilgrimage route up through the headquarters of the Mustang District. The dramatic settlement and theatrical trekking route in the Annapurna region head through various glaciers, rice terraces, and highly culturally influenced villages. This trek also leads us to the world’s deepest Kali Gandaki gorge until we reach Muktinath 3,760 meters. This is the maximum altitude point of this trek. Our return journey follows the downhill trail to Jomsom via Lupra. We will have a short flight back to Pokhara for ending the short trek in the Annapurna region.

jomsom explore
2012
I went to Nepal with my husband and three friends and we had a great time on the Jomsom trek. Everything had a very authentic feel, the guides were very helpful and fun, and of course, we just loved everything about Nepal. I would suggest Nepal Dream Path Treks & Expedition for exploring Jomsom Muktinath trek.
