The almighty viewpoint of Kalapatthar is the highest point of this trek which is at the altitude of 5644m. A long hike around the mountains won’t be easy. 2/3 days of acclimatization is the most required break since it allows your body to get used to high altitude and also provides the chance to visit surrounding places.
Research about the symptoms of altitude sickness and the preventives of altitude sickness can be sometimes life-saving. As long as you are in a good guided tour, you don’t have to worry.

130 km (round trip) is the total distance one will be covering during this trek.
It seems like quite a long trek to cover in 9/10 days excluding acclimatization days. But if you are on a well-guided tour, they will manage your walking schedule according to the altitude.
The walking trails will be quite rocky or snowy which will for sure slow your pace down.
You will be walking 6-7 hours per day but as the altitude increases, the walking duration will decrease to 2-3 days. The acclimatization days will also help to get your body relaxed and get used to high altitude.
Either porters or mules will be carrying your bags so all you have to do is prepare yourself for the trek.

It is also the most essential thing to do before going to any trekking. Training helps to increase your endurance as well as the ability of blood circulation of your body, which helps a lot in high altitude.
A couple of hours’ time spent in the gym and treks around your house will be enough. Some physical exercises like squats, swimming, jogging, and sprinting will be great.
Additionally, other factors like weather conditions, itinerary, trekking operator, management of food, and accommodations will definitely affect your trek. Sometimes, Due to the worse weather condition, the flights from Kathmandu to Lukla won’t be available.
