Everest-Gokyo Renjo La Trek in Nepal

Everest-Gokyo Renjo La Trek is one of the most famous treks, set among breathtaking high mountain scenery through the Khumbu Sherpa area. The itinerary through the Renjo Cho la and Kongma La Passes accentuates the alpine aspect of the trek. It provides the opportunity to trek less frequented routes. The Renjo Pass route is off the beaten track. At the pass we get chance to see a great view of the Gokyo lakes on one side, the Ringmo Pokhari lakes on the other side and a myriad of snowy peaks in the background provides this incredible atmosphere. We are from turkey and we did Annapurna Trek/Circuit Trek (Moonsoon). We really love this short trek and did it in the time of monsoon but we didn’t have any problem to complete this trek. Following the Marsyangdi river, it gives a great view of Manaslu and Himal Chuli to the east. At the top of the valley is the Thorong La Pass, the highest point of this trek.

Upper Dolpo Trekking: Remote Trekking Site in Nepal

Upper Dolpo Trekking is a perfect example of remote site trekking in Nepal. This site is not famous for the highest peaks of the Himalaya, like Everest and Annapurna. Upper Dolpo reserves its charms for a three-week-long tour. From Phoksundo the notorious Kang La pass is rural area to cross before trekkers reach the well known Shey Gompa. Beyond are the brooding canyons of the sheer-sided Tartang Khola and the Bon Gompa at Samling near Bhijer. Across the Neng La pass is Saldang and, to its north, the oldest monastery of Dolpo at Yangtsher. The fairytale setting of the spectacular monastery is one of the least-known highlights in this region. For a really rough adventure, trekkers can choose to depart from Dolpo via Chharka Bhot to the east. A high and wild trail climbs over the Jungben La (5550m) before a tremendous knee-jerking drop to the Kali Gandaki valley and Jomsom. With so many trails and attractions, this site has the potential to be on the list of top trekking destinations across Nepal.
